Shri Kamalesh Kumar Madrecha, an IDSE officer of 1986 batch has assumed the appointment of Chief Engineer of ADG (D&C) Pune on 07 Oct 2021. He is an alumnus of MBM Engineering College, Jodhpur (B.E. Civil) and Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (M. Tech in Geo-Tech- 1987).Prior to joining Military Engineer Services in 1988, he has served with Asia Foundation and Construction Company as Site Engineer on Railway Bridge site at Navi Mumbai. In addition to the prestigious work of the Railway Bridge site, he has carried out number of soil investigation and topographical Survey at various project sites in a commendable manner. Shri K K Madrecha has been involved in offering his talent in the planning, design, execution and maintenance of defence assets according to specifications, ensuring compliance with all Quality Assurance procedures and requirement while working as AGE, GE (P), GE (AF), CWE (AF) and Dir (Plg)/Dir (Pers) in different stations across the length and breadth of the country. His in-depth knowledge and creative thoughts have been a great asset to the organization.
The officer has been awarded with Air Chief Commendation (2006) for outstanding performance and completion of works ahead of schedule while executing number of Infra, Married and OTM accommodation in addition to excellent maintenance work as Garrison Engineer (AF)
. As GE (I) FdInv SEMT Wing, officer has been instrumental in carrying out PCN evaluation of many runways and attended training workshop on design and evaluation Software “PAVERS V 2.62” by VIA Aperta, The Netherlands at CME Pune. The officer has also done training on design, construction and maintenance of flexible pavement at CRRI, New Delhi.As CWE (AF), the officer was instrumental in getting the runway resurfacing work executed at an AF Station in time-bound manner and also planned the resurfacing work for another AF stn. He is an accomplished Officer who effectively articulates information and responds to one and all. He has exemplary skills in analysis, research, critical thinking and strong motivational skills while working with his team.
Officer has taken keen interest in the improvement and development of the infrastructure at ADG D&C office. He has formulated an enhanced communication system by appointing a Nodal Officer to keep a track on the updates on the ongoing design projects. Officer has employed Housekeeping Services for the security and administrativeworks at ADG D&C office. There has been a great reduction in terms of time in completion of design works by bridging the gap by regular conferences/meetings both with the team and Zones. Shri KK Madrecha is passionate about various frontiers of knowledge in the domain of Civil Engineering and has been deeply investing his time in the field of Civil Engineering and has become a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers (India) and Fellow member of Indian Geotechnical Society (IGS).
